Crown
and Bridge Procedures
Crowns are protective restorations for teeth that cannot support
a routine filling or require enhancement of tooth function.
The
object of a crown is to restore the strength and function of
the tooth. Crowns are made of all ceramic, porcelain fused to
gold, or of all gold. When crowns are linked together to replace
a tooth, they are called a bridge. A routine bridge has two
support teeth and a replacement tooth between them.
